Denis Lapalme

Denis Lapalme, was participating  in Paralympic Sport before we were even aware such events existed.  In 1976, he won silver in the 100 metre backstroke,  bronze in the 100 metre freestyle and 4th in the 100 metre run.

In the 1980 Paralympics  in Holland, he captured  Gold in the 100 metre backstroke,  100 metre run, Gold in javelin, silver in the backstroke and bronze in the freestyle.  In 1986, he was a silver  medal winner  in wheelchair basketball.

Denis also has a variety of other medals from Paralympic events in Seoul, Melbourne and Belgium.   He competed in the World Championships in sledge hockey. Denis also played hockey Belgium.   He competed in the World Ch in Timmins in the ACT Clinic Program.
