Frank Ferrari

Frank Ferrari, was born in 1964 in Timmins. As a member of the Porcupine Ski Runners racing team, coached by Lorne Luhta, Frank progressed through the regional and provincial teams eventually finding a spot on the National Junior Team and eventually the Canadian Senior Team.

In addition to the 7 National Medals he won, as a member of Team Canada in 1988 Frank competed in 2 World Championships and several World Cup races during the 1980’s. He ranks 30th all-time on the Canadian National Cross Country Ski team medal list. He is also a 2 time Ontario University Athletic Association Gold Medal winner.

After retirement, Frank has kept active competing in Regional, National and International triathlons. He has competed in the World Championships for age group triathlon in the Olympic distance, Half Ironman as well as the World Ironman Championships in Hawaii. In 2010, Frank competed for Canada in Triathlon World Championship Grand Final in Hungary.
