Guy Schultz

Guy Schultz, while attending École Secondaire Catholique Thériault, Guy was a 9 time OFSSA medalist in cross country and track and field. He attended Alabama University on an athletic scholarship and was an NCAA finalist in steeplechase and cross country in 1989 and 1992.

He was a Canadian University Champion in the 3000 metre and 4 x 800 metre relay team. Other honours include CIS and OUA Cross Country Champ in 1997, Male MVP at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport/Ontario University Athletics in 1997 and a 7 time member of Canada’s National Team for cross country, road racing and track and field. He was a member of the
Canadian Junior Track Team in 1986-87 and won 3 gold and 1 silver in the 2002 North American Indigenous Games.

After spending 17 years as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s cross country and track teams in 2013 he became the head cross country coach and the associate head coach of the track team. Several of his athletes have achieved All-Ontario and All-Canadian status.
